On 25th February 2023, instructor Nigel Frith was involved in an accident on the mountainside near Wolseley in the Western Cape. He later died of his injuries.

Due to the festive season it was decided that the nomination for chairman will be extended until the 22nd of January 2024.
At the SAHPA AGM on 31st October 2023, the voting for SAHPA Chairman were invalidated due to non-disclosure by one of the nominees who is undergoing enforcement action by SACAA.
The top-launch (top of the sand-dune) at Kleinkrantz is currently CLOSED and may not be used for flying activities.
