The Glen Paragliding Club is hosting its annual Gatskop event from 23 to 25 September 2022. The purpose of the event is for you to join a bunch of like-minded people for a weekend away of fun and flying.
This is an event for all kinds of pilots, from students to those with lots of experience.
This year we will be camping at Kardoesie on the N7 on top of the Piekenierskloof Pass (There is accommodation nearby for the non-campers).
We have the whole campsite (with pool) to ourselves. It is close to the launch and if the wind is the wrong way we have options nearby at Piketberg or Porterville. As a bonus it is flower season so the scenery is going to be good. We will have a safety officer and experienced pilots to assist you at launch and give site briefings.
You are welcome to bring non-pilot friends or your family along.
There will tasks for all classes of pilots, and plenty of prizes to be won in many categories.
Braai and breakfast packs from the Kardoesie Restaurant will be available.
We will also be pre-selling ‘buffs’ and t-shirts.
Limited retrieve, and launch fees are covered by the pilot Entry Fee of R400.
Camping is R300pp for the weekend.
