SAHPA renewal and application documents
A reminder that all renewals are renewable for 24 months and initial licence applications for 12 months.
We have received a lot of incomplete packs which delays the process and we hereby request that before submitting your licence packs, that you please check that all documents are signed, dated, flight and hours are written on the forms and medicals, etc are attached. On the renewal pack there is a checklist to assist everyone with what is required.
CAA is issuing the new credit card sized licence and SAHPA has requested all pilots to submit an updated ID / Passport photo, however the format we are receiving is incorrect. To assist you please submit the correct ID/ Passport photo in either a high-resolution JPEG or PDF according to the specifications of a passport photo (Any other format will not be accepted):
You will also receive correspondence from CAA. Firstly, the licence holder will receive an email requesting to activate login credentials on the portal, through the link provided. As the licence holder you will have 3 days in which to activate the account failing which, you will have to contact CAA customer services directly to reactivate. SAHPA cannot assist you with this process.
