SAHPA has just learned of an accident involving a paraglider, and several other paraglider pilots and their passengers being caught in strong wind in Seapoint this morning. Details regarding this occurence are still unclear.
SAHPA is awaiting accident and incident reports from the pilots concerned, and also appeals to the public to provide any video footage, photographs or eye-witness reports.
SAHPA can confirm that these flights were not conducted under the SAHPA Approved Training Organisation (ATO).
The matter is also being investigated by the SACAA.
