Lion’s Head is arguably one of the most complex sites in the world thanks to complex surrounding geography and ever-changing wind patterns.
The Glen Paragliding Club very recently hosted an extended briefing on how to fly Lion’s Head safely. This was presented by Stephan Kruger, a highly-experienced instructor with thousands of flights at this site, who has spent many years trying to understand and map out the wind patterns.
This briefing is filled with technical insight and is a must-watch for any pilot who wants a deeper understanding of micro-meteorology at Lion’s Head.
